2014 Winner (Announced April 2015)
Over 18,000 entrants from over 20 countries entered their work to be judged by industry professionals, and Dom received first place in her category of R&B/Hip-Hop for her song "The Morning After He" from Wingspan! Play the winning song to your left.

In addition to being selected from hundreds of entries nationwide, Dom's series is nominated for the "Original Concept" award, and will screen at the festival November 2015!

Honoring Black History Month, Dom organized, curated, and produced a beautiful concert, honoring the idea of Sankofa at Berklee. Sankofa is a word in the Twi language of Ghana that translates as "Go back and get it." Used to reflect the common adage "if we don't know our history, we are doomed to repeat it," Sankofa asks us to retrieve the lessons of our past to improve our present and future. Featuring: Cedric Jackson, II, Pamela Robles, and Britani Washington.

The Songwriting Department at Berklee presented Dom with the Pat Pattison Award for her outstanding musicianship and contribution to the major. Additionally, Dom was awarded the Liberal Arts Service Award for her social justice work and commitment to community engagement on campus, through the Black Lives Matter concert series and other efforts.

DOM JONES PLACES 3RD IN BERKLEE'S SONGS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE SONGWRITING COMPETITION!
In 2016, Dom competed in this competition, did not place, but was invited to perform as a showcase winner. In 2017, Dom returned to the competition to place 3rd, and will perform in the showcase on April 3rd, 2017 at the David Friend Recital Hall.

DOM JONES RECEIVES BILL PIERCE MLK AWARD FROM BERKLEE!
The Berklee College of Music Bill Pierce MLK Scholarship Fund, established by the Association of Faculty and Staff of African Descent (AFSAD) in 2009. It recognizes Berklee student leaders on the basis of academic performance, extracurricular participation, and outstanding community involvement that benefits communities of African descent (on or off campus).
DOM JONES PLACES 2ND IN BERKLEE'S SONGS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE SONGWRITING COMPETITION!

In 2018, she raised the stakes again, placing 2nd with her song "Grace." She performed in the showcase on April 9th, 2018 at The Red Room @ Cafe 939. DOM JONES BECOMES A 2019 HEAR HER SONG COMPOSER FOR THE CANALES PROJECT
Debut initiative from The Canales Project, honoring distinguished women leaders through new songs inspired by their words, written by leading female songwriters and composers.
Since its inception in 2017, Hear Her Song has commissioned 40 songs, honored 38 leaders, employed 65 artists, and collaborated with 10 partner organizations, all with 11 countries involved.
